The bracket has been whittled down to two.
This year, either the South Carolina Gamecocks will win their third championship in five years, or the UCLA Bruins will win their first ever.

Entering the Final Four, the odds said this thing was UConn’s to lose — and then UConn lost.
Dating back to last season, the Huskies had won 54 straight games. They sat at 38-0 this year, had won every Tournament game so far by at least 18 points, and in those 38 wins this season, 30 of them had come by 30 points or more.
But, the Huskies hadn’t run into South Carolina.
The Gamecocks pulled off the upset after falling to UConn in the national championship last season by 23 points. This time, the Huskies were a 6.5-point favorite, and as of Friday afternoon, UConn was the -160 favorite to win the title.
In the other semifinal, UCLA avenged its only loss of the season by taking down Texas. With the win, the Bruins achieved their first title game appearance in program history.
Entering Friday, the Gamecocks and Longhorns were tied for second on the board at +550, followed by the Bruins at +600.
One point to consider: UConn did not face any of the other Final Four teams during the regular season. UCLA and Texas played once, and South Carolina and Texas played three times.
During the regular season, South Carolina went 11-3 against ranked opponents and UCLA went 12-1.
In terms of the title contenders, they did not face off this season, but on the year, UCLA went 1-1 against Texas and South Carolina went 1-2 against the Longhorns.
Furthermore, UCLA and SC did face each other last season, back on Nov. 24, 2024. At the time, the Gamecocks were the No. 1 team in the country, and UCLA was No. 5.
The Bruins pulled off the upset, leading by 21 at half and eventually winning by 15.
